Anniversary Flowers by Year: A Modern Guide

What to send for the first, fifth, tenth, and twenty-fifth — traditional blooms, modern alternatives, and how to make a milestone feel personal.
The early years
The traditional first-anniversary flower is the carnation — youthful, ruffled, and long-lasting — but most couples prefer its modern stand-in: a bouquet that echoes the wedding flowers. Recreating even three stems from the bridal bouquet is the single most romantic gesture in floristry, and any good florist can do it from a photograph.
For the fifth, daisies are the tradition; in practice, a generous hand-tied bouquet in her favorite colors says more than any assigned bloom.
The milestones
Ten years calls for daffodils traditionally, though roses in a deeper register — burgundy, terracotta, deep blush — better suit the weight of a decade. Twenty-five is silver: white roses, dusty miller, and silver-toned foliage in an arrangement with real presence.
For a fiftieth, yellow roses and violets are the traditional pair. What matters more is scale and ceremony — a golden anniversary deserves the largest arrangement the room can hold.
Make it personal, not prescriptive
The tradition lists are a starting point, not an obligation. The details that make an anniversary delivery unforgettable are specific: the flowers from the wedding, the color she wore on the first date, the scent that reminds you of a trip together.
Tell us one true detail when you order and we will design around it. That conversation takes two minutes and changes everything about the result.
Delivery that lands the moment
Morning delivery to a workplace makes the anniversary public; an evening delivery to home makes it private. Neither is better — they are different gifts. Across Santa Clarita we can usually time either with a day's notice, and we will text the sender on approach so the surprise survives.
